the process

Initial Concept

This phase begins with an initial consultation meeting, where we discuss your brief,  scope of work and the budget.

We then prepare a concept design for your space. Delivery from this phase is a concept plan incorporating images of elements that could be included into the detail of the design.

Detailed Design

Once you have approved the initial concept, we move into detailed specifying of the elements that reflect your brief and budget.  This includes kitchen layouts and finishes and paint colours, together with suggested bathroom fittings and fixtures, floor coverings, and window treatments.

Procurement

From the detailed design, we can then work to source or suggest light fittings, tiles, window treatments, appliances and furniture. This phase invariably involves working with others in the project such as builders, kitchen makers, electricians, tilers to make sure the products chosen can be seamlessly incorporated.

On-site check-ins

Experience tells us that often the best designs can be compromised through poor implementation.  We have all heard the countless stories of tiles laid the wrong way round, the wrong carpet installed throughout the house, pendants hung too high or too low, power points in the wrong place just to name a few examples.  If you do not want to leave these things to chance, then we can help you to oversee the implementation so that the design is delivered just as it was envisaged.

Costs

Each of the above phases in the design process can be completed for either a fixed fee or at an agreed hourly rate.
